STAGE
FIVE – Johor Bahru to Bandar Penawar (139.9km)
The halfway point
of the tour will be flagged off at the bustling southern state's
capital near the popular Danga Bay area before moving into Tampoi
which is near to the Second Link bridging Malaysia to Singapore.
The peloton will once again be up against the wind factor at
Ulu Tiram just before the second sprint at Kota Tinggi before
moving further eastward towards the quaint old town of Sungai
Rengit and Teluk Ramunia.
As the peloton heads to Desaru, a popular beach resort that
attracts holidaymakers from around the country and across the
causeway, they will encounter some breathtaking views of the
east coast.
More beautiful sites await the riders but there will be no respite
for them as the head for a spectacular finish in Bandar Penawar,
site of the nation's second school of sporting excellence.
