STAGE
SEVEN – Kuala Rompin to Kuantan (126.6km)
After a gruelling
ride the previous day, the riders will be delighted with having
to face the second shortest stage of the tour. Roaring off from
Padang Majlis in Kuala Rompin, the peloton will make their way
to the prawn breeding centre of Malaysia in Leban Chondong which
is just before the first sprint at Merchung.
Once again the wind could wreak havoc with the riders as they
make their way up the east coast towards the capital city of
the state of Pahang. The wind from the side will require the
riders to work together to avoid getting into any difficulties.
Things will ease up as they move closer to Kuantan. From Nenasi,
known for its camping and beach front activities, the peloton
will arrive at the Royal Town of Pekan before heading for a
spectacular sprint finish down the streets of Kuantan.
